Aurora Melbourne Central – Melbourne CBD’s Tallest and Most Significant Mixed-Use Development

This presentation focused on the success story of the record-breaking sales momentum in which 90 percent of Aurora Melbourne Central’s residential apartment units sold within 2 ½ weeks. Additional focus is placed on the commitment and pedigree to deliver quality living spaces and a vibrant integrated development that resonates with the rich Melbourne culture, as well as its status as the world’s most livable city. The objectives of this presentation were to highlight the development's overall strategic aspirations and unique selling propositions as well as the design and construction overview. Aurora Melbourne Central is a 92-story mixed-use development consisting of 959 Residential apartments, 252 serviced apartment units, office suites, and signature retail, with direct underground connections to the Melbourne Central Train Station. The core design qualities include an edifice with an amorous outward disposition – timelessly appealing while generously embracing its context with internal spaces that are inclusive and humanize the mammoth scale of its exterior, celebrating the infusion of the rich Malaysian and local Melbourne culture and eccentricities. Developing property in a new country can be challenging within the context of different laws, different markets, and different customs. This presentation also covered the lessons learned from an international development in Melbourne and in Australia.
