With an acute focus on the “urban habitat,” this tour focused on The Melbourne Arts Precinct. The tour provided an overview of the series of galleries, performing arts venues, and spaces in the Southbank / St Kilda Road area. Much of the tour focused on the development of the precinct since the release of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Blueprint in 2014, and how this vision is gradually being realized.
Highlights of this tour included the Arts Centre Melbourne, National Gallery of Victoria, Victorian College of the Arts, Margaret Lawrence Gallery, Southbank Theatre, Melbourne Recital Centre, Iwaki Auditorium at the ABC Centre, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), The Coopers Malthouse, and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, encompassing a wide array of urban assets that have been upgraded or delivered to the Arts Precinct.
